The WebSearchandNews Re-Launch is Slated for 2011.
WebSearchandNews is a project that has been on my radar almost since the time I got into the internet business. I've always been a little bit disappointed with search results at the major engines. Most people do not understand how to "force" the major search engines to give the best results possible for a given search. There are simple techniques that can minimize the number of results and push more accurate web pages to the top of the list. But it's all up to the person searching an engine to utilize those techniques, and if the person is a novice internet searcher chances are he or she will struggle to find good information in an efficient manner.
WebSearchandNews does three main things to help internet users find the information they are looking for: 1) Search results are limited to the top 500 visited websites on the internet. There are easily over 10 million websites on the internet today. We narrow it down to the top 500 most popular sites. 2) If search isn't your thing, we provide a directory of the 500 sites utilized by the WebSearchandNews search engine. Choose a category and we'll show you the sites that fit that subject. 3) News, sports, arcade games, and much more are provided in a simple, consistent format to follow. Video and text news stories are provided to fit your internet browsing needs or preference.
A little bit about myself: I work from home. I like to consider myself an internet infopreneur. WebSearchandNews is one piece of a large internet project I'll be working on throughout the course of 2009 and beyond. I've actually been running an internet business from home since June of 2004(following a 7 year engineering career in the automotive industry). I've dabbled in several different internet areas looking for a way to build a stable online income to support my family and to save for the future. I finally decided to go with what I know and what I'm good at. So I'm taking my interest in various topics and building content-based websites around my knowledge and research. WebSearchandNews goes beyond my typical website blueprint by including popular general topics and a search engine that gives useful results for virtually any word or phrase.
